Personalised Greyhound Gifts

The fastest dog in the world spends most of its day asleep on its back with its legs in the air. Greyhound owners know this pose well, along with the roaching, the teeth chattering and the way a 30kg dog can fold itself into a single armchair. Many come from racing and are learning what a sofa is. Wood Chimps makes personalised Greyhound gifts in our UK workshop, laser cut or engraved with your dog's name, from wall clocks to lead holders, keyrings and signs.

About the Greyhound

The Greyhound is a large sighthound, tall and narrow, with a deep chest, long legs and a short fine coat in almost every colour, brindle and black among the most common. They are built for a sprint and have little interest in jogging with you, but they will walk steadily and then sleep for hours. In the home they are quiet, gentle and clean, rarely bark and are often good with children. A great many Greyhounds in the UK are retired racers rehomed through charities, and their owners will tell you the dogs take a while to learn stairs, glass doors and toys. Owners call them hounds or the pointy one, and the standing joke is that you have adopted a 45 mile an hour couch potato.

Personalised gifts for your Greyhound

The Personalised Dog Clock is laser cut at 200 by 220mm with a Greyhound silhouette and your dog's name, and few breeds cut into a cleaner shape. The Personalised Dog Lead Holder is a 12 by 21cm light grey board with two black hooks for lead and poo bags, engraved with the name and a fill-in walkies time clock, available in your breed, just tell us. The wooden block keyring is etched with the breed and name at 58 by 32mm. The Dog Rules for Visitors sign and the Best Seat in the House sign both show the Greyhound with the name, and the best seat is wherever the hound is lying. For a Greyhound who has passed, we make a hanging memorial plaque and an LED memorial lantern.

Questions

How does the personalisation work?

Add the product to your basket and enter your dog's name and breed at checkout. We laser cut or engrave it in our UK workshop with exactly what you type, so check the spelling before you confirm. Personalisation is included at no extra cost.

Which products come with a Greyhound on?

The wall clock, lead holder, block keyring, Dog Rules for Visitors sign and Best Seat in the House sign can all be made with a Greyhound silhouette and your dog's name. The memorial plaque and lantern carry the name and paw prints rather than a breed.

Can I use my Greyhound's racing name as well as the pet name?

Yes, the name is engraved exactly as you give it, so you can use the racing name, the home name or both if space allows. The silhouette is the Greyhound outline. Tell us what you want at checkout and we will match it as closely as we can.
