About the Bichon Frise
The Bichon Frise is a small white dog with a soft, curly double coat that is usually trimmed into that rounded powder-puff shape, with a head that groomers love to make look like a dandelion. They are sturdier than they appear and generally weigh around 5 to 8kg. In temperament they are merry, affectionate and sociable, happy with children, other dogs and anyone who will play. They do not like being left on their own for long and will tell you about it. Owners mostly say Bichon, and the running joke is that you are not walking a dog, you are walking a very enthusiastic bath mat. The famous Bichon blitz, a sudden burst of joyful charging about, is something every owner recognises.
