About the Siberian Husky
The Siberian Husky is a medium sized sled dog, around 20 to 27kg, built to run all day in the cold. The thick double coat comes in grey, black, red and white, often with striking face masks and blue or mismatched eyes. Owners notice three things quickly: the howling conversations, the escape artistry and the recall that works only when it suits the dog. They are friendly with almost everyone, which makes them hopeless guard dogs and brilliant company. A Husky needs plenty of exercise and a secure garden, and will happily lie in the snow while you shiver. Owners often just call them the wolf and keep a vacuum on permanent standby.
